Olivum Olive Oil Dinner Rolls made with our Late Harvest Olivum Reserve Fresh-Squeezed Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Ingredients:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup Olivum Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Additional Olivum Extra Virgin Olive Oil for brushing
Olivum Olive Oil Dinner Rolls
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the mixture and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and Olivum Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
- Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with Olivum Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown. Brush with additional olive oil before serving.
